Lion Plaza lies in the heart of the City of London, bounded by Broad Street, Threadneedle Street and Tower 42.

The site was formerly the headquarters of the National Westminster Bank and comprised eleven buildings of which eight were Grade II or Grade II*.

We were engaged to develop structural design to redevelop the site as two office units with retail at ground floor and a three storey basement to permit off-road servicing.

The final scheme which gained planning and listed building consent included contiguous piled walls for the basement, a steel composite frame for the superstructure and the longest retained fa├žade scheme in Europe.
