The work included a study of historical records and publications, and a detailed hands-on inspection of representative trusses, girders and columns for each main roof from mobile hydraulic platforms.

We took detailed measurements and prepared detailed record drawings of the different types of roof and structural forms and connections, referring to studies of other railway station roofs of similar construction in order to provide comparative examples.

As a result of our in-depth study, investigation and analysis, we were able to identify the dates of construction of the various roofs, which had hitherto not been fully known. We verified the different construction materials and prepared a detailed appraisal on the structural engineering significance in terms of designers, contractors and form of construction with respect to similar roofs elsewhere.
